Stephen "Steve" Franke

Stephen “Steve” Franke, age 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on March 13, 2024, at Heart to Heart Hospice.

Steve was born December 29, 1940, in Evansville, IN, to the late John G. and Helen B. (Bennet) Franke. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1958 and the University of Evansville with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Steve was employed as Controller at General Foods and Schultheis Insurance. He was a member at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lorna (Bailey) Franke; son, Scott Franke; daughter, Diane Beening (Michael); brother, Thomas Franke (Chris); and two grandchildren, William Franke and Rachel Franke.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Phyllis (Lowery) Franke; and brother, John Franke.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Burial will be private.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
