David Farin Hitsman

David Farin Hitsman passed peacefully on March 8, 2024, age 74, at his home in Newburgh, IN.

David was born May 28, 1949, in Flint, MI, to Earl and Betty (Miller) Hitsman.

David attended Clio Area High School in Vienna Township, Michigan. After high school, David joined the United State Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was very proud of serving his country. David worked many years in the janitorial industry. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Chandler, IN.

David is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Yvonne (Hernandez) Hitsman; daughters, LaVonne Morris, Jodi Knudsen (Josh), Audra Abbott (Lester); sons, John Curtis (Robin) and Christopher Curtis (Joe); grandchildren, Jazmine, Cierra, Odin, Calvin, Isabella, Erich, Logan, Christine, Leslieann, Brock and Victoria; great grandchildren, Brianna, Jayden, Landen, Lyzza, Dani, Max, Aiden, Michayla, and MacKinzie; and seven siblings.

David is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister.

Graveside Services will be held at later date in Oak Hill Cemetery.
