OUR SERVICES

The Importance of the Funeral Service

We mark major life events (births, weddings, retirements, etc.) with ceremonies to recognize that they are important, that they matter.  Family and friends gather to support one another because the event and the people are important.

A funeral service also marks a major life event with a gathering of family and friends.  It recognizes that the event, and those closely affected, are important.  The funeral service can be deeply meaningful because it allows families to receive support and assistance during a difficult time.  The funeral service is for meeting the needs of the living.

Our funeral directors and staff are glad to assist with adding unique touches to make a loved one's memorial very personal and truly fitting.

TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICES PROVIDE A GATHERING (VISITATION), FOLLOWED BY THE FUNERAL SERVICE.

Traditional Funeral Service with Visitation  (visitation on first evening, funeral held next day):  provides a visitation on the day/evening prior to the funeral service, with the funeral ceremony on the following day.  Service may be held at our chapel, church, or other location.  This is the most frequently requested service by our families.

Traditional Funeral Service with Limited Visitation (with visitation and funeral on the same day):  combines gathering and funeral ceremony in a single day.  Service may be held at our chapel, church, or other location.

Memorial Services provide a ceremony when there is no body present.  Service may be held at our chapel, church, or other location.  A visitation may be held as well, prior to the service.

We can help with
out of town or even out of state arrangements.  Whether burial is to take place away from our area, or a loved one is to be brought back home, our funeral directors can advise your family on options that may include local services or burial, or transportation for burial at a remote location.  If death occurs away from our area, we are happy to coordinate arrangements with out of town family members or funeral firms.  Make one call to Boone Funeral Home and let us take care of the rest.

Cremation Options:

Many families who prefer cremation choose to blend tradition with cremation by choosing open casket visitation and funeral service prior to the cremation.  This provides the emotional support and closure of traditional funerals that can be so beneficial to survivors.

Traditional Cremation Service

This service provides viewing or visitation prior to the funeral service, followed by cremation.  Visitation may be held the evening before, or combined on the same day as the service.  Funeral services may be held at our chapel, church, or other location.
